12/11/2023 0 Comments Borderlands 2 scarlettAfter the call-for-repair period, the loader will transfer its shield back to Hyperius and resume the attack.Īs long as there is at least one loader connecting to Hyperius, his shield will remain active. While in this mode it uses its shield on itself instead of on Hyperius, but has no nearby repair units to affect a repair. At this point, the loader will stop attacking for about 30 seconds and call for repair similar to regular damaged loaders. Rockets can also be shot down.Įach connection to Hyperius can be severed by dealing enough damage to the corresponding loader. At medium to long range, they will seldom hit a moving target. Rockets fire in groups of four, but like the projectiles of Hyperius himself, they are slow and easy to avoid. As they fly, they will have a tight serpentine path but will not home in on a target.Įach Hyperius Minion attacks with rocket barrages. There are ~16 projectiles to his barrage, fired in quick succession. Occasionally Hyperius fires blue projectiles, similar to that of Hyperion Engineers. Hyperius will not perform an attack as long as he is shielded, and will only walk towards vault hunters (but not other targets such as Zer0's decoy, Gaige's Deathtrap or Axton's turrets). On the PlayStation Vita version, Hyperius usually spawns only 1 or 2 minions, and after they have been destroyed, Hyperius's shield will not go down. With four loaders, there will be four connections to Hyperius. The shield of Hyperius prevents most elemental damage and reduces non-elemental damage. Once spawned, they will immediately begin powering Hyperius's shield, indicated by an orange parabolic semi-transparent light connecting the loaders to Hyperius. Next he will summon four Hyperius Minions. At this point the fight has begun and he can be damaged. When first attacked, he will drop his aura, then start pounding the ground like a regular Hyperion Engineer for a couple of seconds, triggering a nova that completely depletes the Vault Hunter's shields. I would wholeheartedly suggest not only getting this DLC but the season pack, as I can tell this attention to detail by Gearbox will keep coming with later DLC's.Hyperius will not attack until attacked. Fortunately, this DLC doesn't suffer too hard from the spontaneous dialogue leakage that either interrupts or overlaps other ECHO logs you were currently listening to. Although, the story aspect for me is kind of a return from the BL1 DLC content, but the dialogue is still funny and a riot to listen to. The new guns also stack up to the whole pirate mythology, with 'Cursed" guns (although I didn't tend to notice these negatives as much), and overall this DLC altogether has a lot more effort put into the content that they give. Also, I enjoy the new familiar and added enemies in this DLC, as well as the fact that they have been completely re-skinned and voiced over to represent the whole idea of "Pirate's Booty". Now there are multiple Fast Travel Networks in this DLC (so far), so you won't have to backtrack, A New Vehicle (which in a way is pretty decent once you get used to it) and most importantly, this DLC balances both Vehicle and On-Foot Combat spetacularly. Thankfully, this first BL2 DLC suffers from neither of those issues. Also, a smaller complaint I had with these particular BL1 DLC's is that each DLC either focused on All Vehicle travel or all Foot Travel, which is a pain considering that a lot of the DLC's from BL1 were also a development test to bring out BL2 with that kind of innovation. Particularly, my biggest complaint with the BL1 dlc's is that they only had 1 FAST TRAVEL SYSTEM in the DLC, so you were forced to keep backtracking from where you started off, especially with the Armory of General Knoxx. Compared to the DLC's from Borderands 1, this particular DLC is a fine improvement from not only the improvements over the gripes from Borderlands 1 but also the gripes of it's DLC's.
